Dating to c.1820s, this adorable antique 9ct gold locket fits neatly into the Georgian era. Designed as a double halo of creamy white seed pearls around a glazed locket compartment. Perfect for keeping mini keepsakes such as diamonds and gemstones, miniature paintings, dried flowers or photographs. The locket opens and closes at the back. Please note the box, mini loose diamonds and chain shown are for demonstration purposes. The integral bail, beautifully decorated with graduated pearls, has worn a little at the top yet still has plenty of life left. A beautiful example of antique English jewellery from the Georgian era.
