Dating to the end of the 19th century, this cutie embossed shield fits neatly into the Victorian era, c.1880s. An asethetic conversion necklace lovingly made from antique gold components. The shield form is finely detailed with four shell like forms, surrounding a central claw set ruby on a subtly textured ground. The ruby is a rich and beautifully saturated raspberry red hue and measures 5 mm x 5 mm. Shield measures 22 mm x 11 mm. Suspended from a fine chain with spring clasp.
