Dating to the c.1940s – 1960s, this aesthetic 9ct gold pendant has been beautifully designed as a flowing leafy drop with a vibrant solid opal sitting to the centre. The opal displays a strong play of colour with flashes of green, blue, purple, orange and red hues. Measuring 12 mm x 8 mm, the opal is estimated to be 3 carats. Flanked by gorgeously elongated leaves, where the stems twist and join to cleverly form the pendant’s hoop. Suspended from a traditional bail. A very pretty 20th century opal pendant.
