A beautifully unique antique butterfly bug necklace which has been lovingly created with Victorian components. Designed with rose cut diamonds wings, a 6 mm x 4 mm deep raspberry red ruby abdomen, small round ruby eyes and a cultured pearl to the centre. Set in silver and open backed, allowing the light to shine throw and ignite the diamonds. Suspended from a Victorian 9ct rose gold belcher chain with barrel clasp. The butterfly bug measures 26 mm x 14 mm, and totals an estimated weight of 0.6 carats. The chain and butterfly both date to c.1890s. This exceptional necklace looks beautiful worn on its own or as part of a neckmess.
