A Late Art Deco ring beautifully designed as a classic three stone. The ring is claw set with a central oval shaped fiery opal. The opal measures 8 mm x 6 mm and shows a strong and very good range of colour play. This beautifully vibrant gem looks incredible as you twist it in the light. Flanked by two 4 point round diamonds in illusion settings. The stones are set in platinum. The tapered shoulders are also platinum. On a rich 18ct yellow gold shank. This beautiful piece dates to c.1930s to 1940s, placing it at the end of the Art Deco period. It would make a perfect engagement ring.
