Dating to the 1970s, this beautiful piece has been classically designed as a cluster ring. Claw set with a central oval sapphire. The sapphire is a rich velvet blue hue with a hint of forest green, often referred to as a mermaid sapphire. The sapphire measures 9 x 7 mm totalling an estimated 2.2 carats. With 12 individually set 5 point diamonds, totalling 0.60 carats. The ring face measures 16 x 14 mm. On a plain shank. With maker’s mark K.C. This piece would make a gorgeous vintage engagement ring.
