An exceptionally well made 18ct gold ring, crown set with an oval 11 mm x 9 mm deep tangerine hue citrine. The citrine is a deep tangerine hue and has a beautiful glow from within. Estimated to be 4 carats, this beautiful stone creates good finger coverage. I feel the crown setting with the gorgeous claw detailing is actually an antique piece, fitting with Victorian aesthetics and jewellery design. Flanked by polished shoulders. The ring has an incredible engraved shank, designed as a continuous line of scrolling leaves, with white gold milgrain edging. The shank is later and fully hallmarked for 1992. This exquisite engraved detailing would have been costly to make. A beautifully crafted marriage of old and new, in keeping with Victorian design.
