This substantial 14ct gold bespoke made ring is claw set with a beautifully fiery opal triplet. The opal measures 15 mm x 10 mm and displays a vibrant colour play of predominantly blue and green hues. Flanked by 6 individually set brilliant cut diamonds. The diamonds are 4 points each, totalling an estimated 0.24 carats. They are bright, livery and well matched. This one of a kind ring has gorgeous rope twist detailed shoulders and a plain base to the bottom of the shank. Ring face measures 18 mm x 16 mm. Dates to c. 1970-80s.
