Dating to the c.1880s, this gorgeous antique garnet fits neatly into the late Victorian era. Set with a delicious berry hue garnet cabochon and mini diamond starburst detail. The glossy garnet measures 14 mm x 10 mm and glows beautifully when twisted in the light. The back of the setting shows a repair, please see the photos. This, in my opinion, does not detract from the overall beauty of such a lovely antique piece. With split detail shoulders and a plain shank. The shank is an Edwardian replacement.
