A beautifully designed and aesthetic high carat gold ring set with a central oval chalcedony. The chalcedony measures 8 mm x 6 mm and is a deep forest green hue with gorgeously glossy surface. Framed by decorative beaded and rope twist wirework detailing. The ring face measures 18 mm x 13 mm. With a closed back setting and a plain shank. Dates to c. 1960s. This exquisitely made piece is hallmarked to the outside of the shank with the Portuguese gold mark that was used between 1938 and 1984.
