A classically designed 9ct gold cluster ring, claw set with a central oval opal. The opal measures 11 mm x 7 mm and displays a good range of colour with flashes of greens, oranges and yellows. Surrounded by a halo of beautifully vibrant raspberry pink rubies and two replacement paste gems. The rubies are synthetic and there are differences in the pinkish red colour palette. Please note there are a couple of small chips to the stones, these do not detract from the overall beauty of the piece in my opinion. With a pierced basket setting and a plain shank. The ring face measures 16 mm x 12 mm. Dates to c. 1940s.
